I’m Regina Luciano, a Filipino artist and longtime graphic designer based on Oʻahu, Hawai'i. After years working in design, I returned to the easel to rebuild a painting practice.
My developing work moves between still life, landscape, and scenes of domestic care. I am especially interested in how food, music, familiar objects, and observed places can hold memory and meaning.

15 Weeks in the Studio
I’m currently working through a self-guided oil painting curriculum based in observation, fundamental skills, and revision. Each week, I work through a different painting problem, from value and edges to color, composition, and spatial depth, and follows it from exercise to critique. I’m documenting the process honestly, including the uncertain beginnings, messy middles, corrections, and decisions that happen before a painting feels resolved.
I’m prepping a small selection of original paintings for purchase. Join my newsletter, Studio Notes, to be notified when new wwork becomes available.
